EPS Language Service Implementation Process Guidelines

  • A sending agency must send their "pre-roster of job applicants" within two months from the date of EPS-TOPIK result announcement. HRD Korea will check "pre-roster" before proceeding to the approval process.
  • If the information on a job application does not match the information (e.g. name, date of birth, gender, photo) on the passport, the pre-roster will not be approved and will be returned to the sending agency.
( The sending agency must correct any discrepancies in the returned pre-roster and send it back to HRD Korea. )
  • The pre-roster is valid for one year from the date of approval.
  • If the employment contract is cancelled for any reason other than those caused by the applicant, the roster will be registered again and valid for one year upon registration.
  • The applicants with expired term can apply for re-employment within the validity of EPS-TOPIK (2 years after the date of passing).
  • Workers with CCVI must prepare and submit their passport and certificate of criminal record when applying for VISA.
  • HRD Korea will prepare the list of entries based on the date of CCVI and provide it to the sending agency every week. Workers with a confirmed entry date must arrive in South Korea on the specified date.
  • The employment of workers is determined not by the sending agency or the Korean government but by the employers.
  • No fees other than official expenses (e.g. passport, VISA, airfare, job training service) will be needed. If someone asks for such fees, you need to report it to your local sending agency or the EPS Center of HRD Korea.
